I agree with the pet rock analogy--only I have more respect for those with a tangible rock. We haven't gotten collectively smarter in my tenure on this orb, and the trajectory indicates more of the same.
My younger goes off on these every now and then. Myself, I think we have found this generations Pet Rock, or perhaps their beanie babies.
