Commissar Dorsey's newest purge is underway.

For those of you who care about Twitter, an interesting report from one of the newly-unpersoned.

The straining out of small fish has begun.

As a consumer of Mystery Grove's (another of the purged) catalog, permit me to recommend their small-but-worthwhile collection here--while it can still be found.

  1. Alternatives to twitter are available and the rest of us should repair to them. One way to stoke their business is for Republican state governments to migrate en bloc.

  2. Thanks for highlighting The Pillarist. Subscribed directly now.

  3. Come to think of it, Dreher nuked me from making comments on The American Conservative using the same excuse Twitter used for The Pillarist; in reality, Dreher doesn't like anyone questioning the proposition that even God cannot save the Church unless enough people buy his books.

    1. He doesn't like anyone taking exception to Siarlys Jenkins, or anyone tossing a dart at Damon Linker. The sanctimonious posturing grates, of course.

    2. His mercenary side does not fit well with his sanctimonious side.

Also, I can't help get the feeling he is more firmly attached to his politics than to his religion.

  4. An interesting essay. I liked that bit of comedy about 45 in the middle: like a member of the 1% really cares for the 99. For the record, I know lots of people not of his ideology who've had their silicon sat on. If all the people you know have pink hair, obviously all the people you see getting cancelled are candy-tops.

    1. political theatre doesn't equate with concern, no matter what the ideology. And ignorant? Small fish spreads falsehoods about election fraud. Merri seems to have flunked Exodus 20:16. I wouldn't think corporate America really cared, but their bottom line is endangered. I think some of you conservatives need to get out more. The political inbreeding leans more embarrassing than funny at times.

    2. LOL "political theatre" That must be why the place is surrounded by press. And how Trump makes sure to face the camera at all times and speaks loudly and clearly for the microphone to pick up, right?

Also you idiots forfeited any right to scold anyone about beliefs in elections after 4+ years of "russia, russia, russia" over LESS evidence than we had in 2020 of shenanigans.

So you can go right back to your coder and tell them this NPC needs to be rebooted because I've played against better AIs in the 90s.

  5. Since I never said anything about Russia, and as an election official, I feel perfectly qualified to suggest 2020 fraud, outside of a new double Trump voters already dredged up, is bunk. That you have gone personal so soon, also makes me glad to accept your surrender.

  6. Yeah, I'm so inclined to believe someone already demonstrated to be disingenuous. You're already playing the DARVO cards by claiming others went "personal" after you started it.

Lie to yourself all you want but nobody else is buying it anymore. Come back when you're finally ready to examine things honestly.

    1. You know: you only have to surrender once, Nate. I said nothing about you, only poking at #45 and Merri's flawed writing. But, if you want to keep up the middle school schtick, go for it

    2. You know: you only have to surrender once,

Given our last exchange, I gather your handlers at Correct-the-Record told you to try self-declared victories as a tactic.

    3. No, actually I learned it from MCU. But good try.

    4. Ironic that the man who accuses others of "middle school schtick" [sic] can't master up anything more erudite than "I know you are but what am I" which was never not lame.

And I'm old enough to remember the days on the internet when lefties could put up an actual argument.
