A question from my Much Better Half.
Why are they called the gnostic gospels? They don't read like the canonicals--i.e., they aren't narratives of the life/ministry of Christ.
So how did they get the title "gospel"?
A middle-aged husband, father, bibliophile and history enthusiast commenting to no one in particular.
